For 2 days the Born Quarter was buzzing with people walking along its ancient narrow streets. Now and then orange umbrellas popped up, identifying the Walking Tours for La Marató de TV3, the Catalan public TV Telethon.
More than 300 people plus 40 children participated in the tours during the weekend 13-14 December. Each adult paid the symbolic amount of 5 € and BGB added 3 € more. The full amount of 2,432 € was donated to La Marató de TV3, this year dedicated to heart disease investigation.
Participating in social initiatives such as La Marató de TV3 is part of our commitment to make Barcelona a better city for people to live in and a better city for people to visit. With this aim we are working towards a more sustainable tourism and are the first world tour operator to meet Biosphere Responsible Tourism Standards.
We would like to give a warm thank you to all the people who participated in the tours and the whole team of BGB, who made this possible by spreading the news and gave their time to organize the tours and guide.
